Project Suncatcher is a Google moonshot to put compute power into space via constellations of orbiting AI chips powered by near-constant sunlight. Unsurprisingly, it involves a set of sprawling technical challenges that are hard to organize and summarize for a broad audience.
Humanize
We wanted to capture the audacity of the project, but make sure the tone was human and credible. We got to know the researchers and worked with them to solve the challenges of filming in specialist labs. Creatively, we broke the mission into thematic questions the team answered episode by episode, and tied the series together with visuals that were scientifically accurate, accessible and polished.

Results
The first episode in the series was watched 1.7million times within two weeks, with the subsequent content driving hundreds of thousands more views.
